Derectline Assurance launches Bima Mtaani App


 

Directline Assurance company has launched an agents digital channel to enable it enhance Insurance penetration in the country the product dubbed Bima Mtani is a mobile app that allows the firm's agents to sell insurance using their phones. 

The way that the penetration of insurance services in the country lagging behind at less than three percent, Directline Assurance has embarked on measures to boost uptake. The General insurance  Company organized a meeting with its agents in Nairobi as it unveiled its Bima Mtaani App today. 

Speaking to the media, the company directed said, "we are delighted to host our agents top leading agents for the Stellar performance in the year 2022. Our gross written premium grew by 21% from 3.5 billion to 4.2 billion in the year 2022 and thus gives us a reason to celebrate and fetch our agents the new app which is available on Android play store. It will enable direct line Assurance agents sell motor insurance, personal accident, home, Bima and golfers insurance from the convenience of their mobile phones. The app that we are launching today is easy to use convenient effective and user friendly it's an app that is going to expand time from the eight to five working parameters to 24/7 - 365 days. The App will now enable direct line to expand its locations from the current 24 branches to locations with its over 3800 agents who are currently in its books this is a great idea a brain tile of direct line which is going to the market vigorously very powerfully to empower the community and empower the people to do what we get from the ground to spread the coverage with the app Directline agents can now transact new business among other benefits."


Insurance agents will be able to renew policies that are in their books the agent will be able also to view their renewal reports they'll be able to see their commissioner statements and more importantly the agent will be enabled to report claims or accidents as and when they happen in the app during the event direct line top agents were fitted for their good performance in 2022 which saw the company post a profit before tax of 333 million Shillings are 58 increase compared to 211 million Shillings posted in 2021.
